idd.gg, Insomniaks Mini-Meetup, DAM PODCAST & some yapping.

The past few months leading up to and including May have certainly been some interesting ones for everyone lately. Both the USA and UK continue to devolve into obvious fascism, Israel continues to genocide a whole people with absolutely no pushback from the Western powers that apparently can’t help but to keep selling them weapons and really things just feel as if they’re getting worse and worse across the board for those that aren’t in positions of power.

FREE PALESTINE

With that said, it feels like anything I could personally complain about pales in comparison to any of these things and so I will try not to be self centered enough to whine. Before getting on with the much less important updates about myself and things adjacent to me, FREE PALESTINE! I won’t pretend to know which charities actually help but please try to help Palestinians in any way you can. What’s happening there is really harrowing to see every day and they need it a lot more than anyone else right now.

If you don’t know what idd is yet, let me tell you! idd.gg is a community loosely based around gamers & creatives which is made up of people from all across the flat Earth.

It’s intended to be a welcoming and diverse space across several platforms (currently mainly Discord, however) for anyone that’s interested in either topic, whether they are game or create themselves or just enjoy consuming content from that type of person.

In the future we will run some fun events for people to participate in like design/art contests, casual chess tournaments, group discussions/hangouts and even some beginner tutoring for both gaming and creative disciplines.

We also tend to host private temporary game servers ourselves when the community wants to play multiplayer games together including games like Terraria, Minecraft, V Rising & Palworld.

It’s still early doors right now but trust me, I’m working hard myself behind the scenes and so are the other ‘Official Members’ of idd to make it as good as it can be and as beneficial to everyone involved as possible.

An ‘Official Member’ is simply someone that is active in the community enough for other members to notice and who shows a desire to join and tag up in the Discord, but everyone even people outside of that category is a part of the idd.gg community.

Insomniaks Mini-Meet up

Despite knowing most of the Insomniaks (Twitch Team) members for several years now, I only got to actually meet some of them the other day. It was a wholesome time and everyone was absolutely lovely, even Sama!

Before we started wandering around London properly, I bought a pint of Guinness from this one place that charged me £8 with a service charge (for the bar staff to walk 10 meters) of 20p~. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the Guinness was horrendously poured as if by a victorian child that had never seen a bar in their life. I was devastated then and I will never shut up about this great injustice that I had to go through.

Later was great though, because we ended up in a Wetherspoons which is the only thing in the South that is exactly the same as it is in the North, and I had a good number of normally priced and well poured pints there with the group.

Some of the people I met were not technically a part of Insomniaks but were also hilarious and lovely people and I would individually link them but I feel like I’m going to miss someone and so I’ll avoid it at least for the time being. Maybe I’ll add them later on!

Overall, the trip was awesome, I just didn’t have enough time to really enjoy it like I would have liked to and a few things were kinda stressing me out nearer the end but it had nothing to do with the group or the trip, so I’m definitely gonna make my way down there again soon to visit with a bit more time and this time I’m not going to miss my coach back by mere minutes and be forced to spend £97 and still have a 3 hour wait inside a freezing cold train station… I’m an idiot.

DAM PODCAST

We are well and truly back with the DAM PODCAST now, having just having Illmac on this last Sunday for a really good chat about all sorts of stuff I won’t spoil but don’t worry, you can find it yourself at the top of the podcast page in the embedded VOD before the audio is released.

As well as that, I’m going to finally release (almost) all of the episodes in video versions that I’ve had in the tuck forever now, but rather than go from the first onwards, I’m going to start with the most recent and go backwards.

Some of the episodes may be skipped depending on the quality of the video but the episodes can be found at YouTube/konrTF very soon! I intend to post Illmac’s episode within the next week and will upload the audio version that episode in the next few days at most.

YAP YAP YAP YAP

Right now I’m still in a weird limbo state when it comes to my streams where I can’t play any remotely demanding games without my PC locking up and forcing me to restart, so because of that the vast majority of my streams for now will be Co-Working & Study, the podcasts, watching stuff and playing very non-demanding games in general.

I can still mostly play V Rising and a few other games but just bear in mind that if my stream suddenly dies on the spot then that’s why and I just need to reboot.
